Week 1 Reflection
Well I am enjoying this course even though there is a lot of work involved. Its not t hat the actual work is difficult but rather the amount of people posting such in debt and intelligent responses in the discussion area is slowing me down. Its starting to become information overload so I may have to start limiting what I read in the following weeks which would be a shame as there are so many experienced people here with so much to offer. I guess this is where my survival tips will come in handy.
My tips were; (Anything in Italics was my discussion post, anything else in my reflection now)
5) If you have trouble understanding certain concepts or programs than don’t be afraid to ask your peers for assistance and guidance.
I think this is important. As I’ve already found that there are so many knowledgeable and experienced people online here that I’m sure there will be many people who can offer assistance will problems.
4) Understand and value what others have to offer. If they do not share the same viewpoint as you than ask for them to clarify it for you or share your own experiences and state why you have a different viewpoint.
I feel that this point is just common politeness that should be used both on and off line.
3) Don’t be afraid to share. Share your experiences, ideas and viewpoints with everyone as having a diverse and wide range of opinions can only be a good thing.
The problem with this point is that everyone is starting to share too much and its becoming impossible to keep up :).
2) Work hard and stay on track with the objectives and tasks you must complete.

I’m normally quiet an organized person so I should be able to keep on track for the first couple of weeks. As there is so much work involved for my three courses this semester I’ll have to get straight into work mode and get some of this work out of the way as quick as possible.
1) Don’t be afraid to jump in there and explore and meet and work with new people online.
This can be rather intimidating, especially as I’m only one of three or so students when the rest of the members are already teachers.
Well that’s my reflection for the first week. I look forward to seeing what the rest of the semester has to offer.
